The 1st APBIM 2012 Running Clinic will be held in collaboration with ASICS this Sunday, 29th July 2012 at Penang Botanic Gardens from 7.30am. This FREE Running Clinic is held to provide marathon beginners a basic kick-start on running and to encourage runners to improve their running performance and training style. ALL Runners are welcome and are encouraged to attend to get cool tips and tricks on running from our trainer, Frank Chong.

FRANK CHONG (MALAYSIA)
Frank Chong has pursued courses in fitness and sport science certification and actively participates in running events since year 2007. Addition to his running milestone, he has recently successfully completed the Comrades Marathon 2012, the world’s oldest and also regarded as the world’s toughest road race at South Africa with a distance of 89.28KM.
With the knowledge and certification acquired, Frank has successfully trained 43 normal individuals in tackling their first marathon distance in a short span of just 2 years. Frank also supports his charity cause for cancer research together with CARIF (Cancer Research Initiatives Foundation).

ANDY NEO (SINGAPORE)
Andy Neo started social running with SAFRA Running Club in 2006 and has built a good running foundation over the years. He later joined another self-formed team known as ‘Team Runfanatics’ while working at a running specialist store ‘Running Lab’ as a retail associate in 2008. After recovering from chronic plantar fasciitis injury towards the end of the same year, he began to train under structural running program.
In 2011 he completed his fifth Standard Chartered marathon in 3hour 14min and 1 hour 24min for SBR/AHM half marathon. In the same year he also came in 4th in Adidas King of the Road (Malaysia) against in the open category. Currently 2012, he recently clocked 38:21 for SIS 10k race and is currently preparing for Gold Coast Marathon in July. With his Bachelor Degree in Sports Education from Monash University plus his profession as ASICS regional senior technical representative, his role is to continue preaching footwear education to all levels.
