When is the application deadline?
Online registration for the 2013 Penang Bridge Marathon will be accepted until 30 Setember 2013.
Can I register on race day?
No. We do not accept registration on the race day.
Can I send my friend to register and pick up the running package for me?
Yes. Your friend will need to show us a copy of your final confirmation slip (PBIM receipt) or a photocopy of your IC/passport.
Can I know my running number earlier?
Yes. You will be able to check your running number on our web site after our closing date, 30 September 2013 onwards.
How can I pick up my goodies bag?
You are encouraged to select the Courier option during your online registration to have your goody bag delievered to your doorstep (courier service available for addresses in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore only.). Otherwise, you may self-collect before the event.
When can I pick up my goodies bag?
1) Self pick up in Penang at QB Mall on 9th and 10th Nov 2013 (10am to 9pm)
or
2) Self pick up on 13th and 15th Nov 2013 (10am to 9pm)
or
3) Self pick up on 16th Nov 2013 (10am to 6pm)
Where can I pick up my goodies bag?
At Queensbay Mall's open space outdoor car park (south zone).
I have paid for the race, but due to family problem I am unable to compete. Can I defer my participation to your 2013 race?
No. We do not offer deferments or refunds.
May I change my race from Half Marathon to Fun Race or vice versa?
No, changes in category are NOT allowed.
Do I need a qualifying time to enter the Penang Bridge Marathon?
No.
Are there any Corporate Team or Team Relays?
No, there are no team relays.
On the Race Day
Can I run without a bib number?
No. Full, Half, and 10K MUST wear their bib clearly on their t-shirt. Fun runners will not be allocated any running numberd.
If I forget to bring my timing chip (D-tag), can I run without it?
Yes. BUT you will NOT be qualified to receive any medal or certificate from us.
What is the average Temp at Start Time?
Approximately 25° C start time and at the finish about 30° C.
What are the rewards for the race?
Please check the site for specific award and prize information for each category.
Where can I get a map of the race course?
The course map is available in this website.
How long will the finish be open?
The finish will be open for 7 hours.
How can I review results at the end of the race?
Online information will be posted within 5 working days from the time of the final finisher.

The race begins at Queensbay Mall. There is plenty of room for cheering along the street at the start, or along the finish line.
I’m with the press. Can I contact interview with the runners?
Yes. We will prepare a press stand on the race day. Please conduct your interview there.

How do credit card transactions work?
1. The customer (you) shops at merchant website and select credit card as payment option during checkout
process.
2. The customer enters the credit card details required at a secure payment page powered by MOLPay gateway.
3. The customer is required to enter one-time password (OTP) at bank’s page to authenticate the online purchase.
4. The transactions will be sent through secure credit card payment network for approval.
5. The credit card issuer approves the transaction with approval code.
6. Payment has been made successfully to merchant.
Why is the name stated in my card statement “MOLPay”?
We have appointed MOLPay as our third party payment gateway to process online transactions.

How secure is MOLPay payment gateway?
All communication between you can MOLPay are encrypted using a 256-bit SSL connection. MOLPay services are
scanned and certified by Hacker Safe & SiteLock everyday. MOLPay services comply with the global data security
standard - Payment Card Industry: Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). To protect both cardholder and merchant,
MOLPay has implemented 3D-Secure environment (Verified by VISA & MasterCard SecureCode) for its credit card
payment processing. Besides, MOLPay does not store any cardholder's sensitive data and information.
What is 3D-Secure?
3D-Secure is a service facilitated by VISA and MasterCard that lets you transact online securely using your credit
card. This service is available on our website. Both Verified by VISA (VBV) & MasterCard SecureCode (MSC)
introduce password protection during an Internet purchase to authenticate the customer. The goal of VBV/MSC is
to create the same trust and confidence amongst merchants and customers that exist in a face to face shopping
environment.
What are the benefits of 3D-Secure?
VBV/MSC provides added assurance by authenticating you while using your Visa/MasterCard credit card to make
payments online. You can be assured that any online merchant giving VBV/MSC service is a legitimate commercial
entity. A private code means added protection against unauthorised use of your credit card when you make
payments online.
How to get my password for 3D-Secure?
Most of the banks are leveraging on one-time-password (OTP) technology, allowing the card holders to receive the
unique password via their registered mobile number with their credit card issuer. The way of getting the password
may vary from bank to bank. For further clarification, please speak to the customer service officer of your credit
card issuing bank.
